Blog 2: the best concert ever

Hi everyone, today I’m going to talk about the best concert I’ve lived. I really like to talk about this, because I love music and I always spend my money in concerts, is my hobby. Besides, I go to concerts since I was 14 years old.

It’s hard to choose, but I think the best concert was Epica, was this years in March. It was amazing, because I went with my sister, Elizabeth, and the supporting band was Anneke Van Giersbergen’s group, called Vuur. A funny fact, we always dreamed with this day: Epica and Anekke playing together and it happened. We felt we were going to cry, because was something we always dreamed and I guess the people too. It was kind of a teenage-dark dream.

I remember I arrived to the line too early, because I wanted being close to the band and I got it. Was summer, so I almost die because of the sun and the heat, but I didn’t care. The show started at 8 pm with Vuur and they played The Gathering’s songs. Then, at 9 pm was the Epica’s show till 11 pm. The atmosphere was incredible, because the metal’s shows are always quiet and organized, all the people enjoyed the concert and all of them sang by 3 hours.

Influenced by Nightwish, Epica is a Dutch symphonic metal band, founded in 2002 by Mark Jansen, the guitarist. They have seven albums until today and they’re always working in new sounds of their music.

  5. I find it fabulous that you were able to enjoy the concert that you expected so much. Personally I do not listen to much heavy metal but the band that I like the most is Almafuerte.

Blog 5: My future job

I studied English since 2012 to 2013. In that moment, I wanted being teacher or translator and then work in a museum, hotels or traveling around the world. But no, I decided to study the worst career in Chile, something related with arts woho!! . Okay, that's a joke, I love all of this. I'm studying cinema and television and now I'm in 4th year. It's ironic because I hate working in groups and I chose cinema. But anyway, I'd like to work editing films, because in the movie's edition is where you find the magic. The only problem, you have to be in an office or shut up in a room all day, with no lights and no fresh air but fan. Maybe, it sounds terrible but I really like it. However, I'd like to work in a cafeteria, because I'm a big fan of coffee and cakes and one of my dreams is to know how prepare all those things. I think we all want to travel around the world, maybe If I chose this way (editing films) I won't travel much, but I wan...

Blog 7: Current issue

The new way of watching television In general, I'm not a big fan of the traditional way to watch tv., but I like to think in the technology's development and how these renovate our way of watching a movie or a tv show, especially Netflix. I like this issue, because is interesting how technology affects our society and our routine.  I think Netflix is very important to talk about this issue, because it will have the last season of Black Mirror with an special chapter: the audience will have the creative control of the  history. But, Black Mirror isn't the only serie with that characteristic, because Netflix is going to update this  streaming way with, at least, two more -realistics- series, with the objetive to create videogames. So, today we're talking about transmedia projects, because the narrative world is bigger. For example: Nosedive (a Black Mirror's chapter) has a boardgame, isn't a big thing -maybe- but it's something. I think ...

Blog 3: I hate religion.

I hate religion. Everyday, I have another argument to affirm religion shouldn’t exist.  I was 13 years old, I was at school in Religion subject and the teacher said: women must not have sex until marriage. In that moment, I didn’t realize how violent was that affirmation, because I was a sexist young lady, I mean, I used to discriminate women saying words like “slut” or “bitch”. But then, AND FINALLY, I realize I was wrong. Having sex isn’t bad or masturbation neither. But the religion, the church and preacher have power until today, they give hate’s speech about sex, sexual orientation, women, etc.  Last Saturday, there were a protest in favor of life and against gender ideology. I mean, you can be against to all of these or not agree, I think it’s valid. But these people, that CASUALLY ARE RELIGIOUS, have hate deep inside. They don’t accept the differences and today they have power. They can influence in all the politics decisions and our country’s –suppos...
