Blog 3: I hate religion.

I hate religion. Everyday, I have another argument to affirm religion shouldn’t exist.

I was 13 years old, I was at school in Religion subject and the teacher said: women must not have sex until marriage. In that moment, I didn’t realize how violent was that affirmation, because I was a sexist young lady, I mean, I used to discriminate women saying words like “slut” or “bitch”. But then, AND FINALLY, I realize I was wrong. Having sex isn’t bad or masturbation neither. But the religion, the church and preacher have power until today, they give hate’s speech about sex, sexual orientation, women, etc.

Last Saturday, there were a protest in favor of life and against gender ideology. I mean, you can be against to all of these or not agree, I think it’s valid. But these people, that CASUALLY ARE RELIGIOUS, have hate deep inside. They don’t accept the differences and today they have power. They can influence in all the politics decisions and our country’s –supposed- lay.

When I take the bus, I always see a poster in a church, which says: “let’s say yes to life”.  Life of those? Abandoned children? Children who decide to kill themselves for not being accepted like Trans? Okay, I understand. And all of this starts with religion, the word divine, the power of God, the priest or even the teacher who told: women must not have sex. We’re in 21st century, but this is still happening.

  2. That kind of belief - that kind of religion - will suck the life out of you. I know from firsthand experience. The problem with this kind of belief though is that it will enslave you to performing religious duties. The moment you begin to read the Bible less or pray less you will start to feel guilty, i tottaly agree with you.

  3. Every day we are more those who have left behind the religion, I trust that someday everyone will move away from the institutions that try to impose rules based on some divine design

Blog 10: This is the end

Learn English is very important today, because is a need to every job or study. In my experience or in my opinion, have this subject at the university is too relax, because it doesn't take so much time at week.  At the begining, I hated the use of the blog I don't know why, but today I like it, because I feel I can develop my writing skills and I have the freedom of write about anything I want (for example the blog 8 is my favorite). But there are a lot of difficulties: is too hard to me the british accent, so when we listen something in the class with british people, I usually fail and the same happens with some words that change between U.S.A and England. So, my plan is: watch british movies or series with english subtitles and pay attention in the pronunciation. Maybe Downtown Abbey will be my new best friend. Outside the class, I use the english but in a passive way, for example to listen music or watch tv. But today I'm talking a little more in english w...

Blog 7: Current issue

The new way of watching television In general, I'm not a big fan of the traditional way to watch tv., but I like to think in the technology's development and how these renovate our way of watching a movie or a tv show, especially Netflix. I like this issue, because is interesting how technology affects our society and our routine.  I think Netflix is very important to talk about this issue, because it will have the last season of Black Mirror with an special chapter: the audience will have the creative control of the  history. But, Black Mirror isn't the only serie with that characteristic, because Netflix is going to update this  streaming way with, at least, two more -realistics- series, with the objetive to create videogames. So, today we're talking about transmedia projects, because the narrative world is bigger. For example: Nosedive (a Black Mirror's chapter) has a boardgame, isn't a big thing -maybe- but it's something. I think ...

Blog 8: An artist I love.

Hi! I’m going to talk about my favorite artist. It was hard to choose one, so I’m going to present two artists: Kelsey Smith “Amidst Silence” and Jessica Antunez “Elle est Jess” . These girls do illustrations and show their work on Internet, for example: Instagram or Tumblr .  Talking about their life and career is kind of difficult, because as I was saying, they’re artist from Internet, but anyway. Jessica Antunez is a chilean artist, she used to be on illustration fairs, like Safari Festival (right now she's in France) that’s the place where I met her last summer. I remember I was buying some stickers made by herself.   She does any kind of kind of art, for example: illustrations, engraving patches, posters, paintings and even dolls, everything related to music, movies and artists. I like Elle est Jess , because in her work I can see the passion and dedication, besides I think everything she does is amazing.    Kelsey Smith or "Amidst Sile...
